Olamide Ogunade, known professionally as ID Cabasa, is a legendary Nigerian record producer, who played a major role in the development and growth of indigenous rap in Nigeria, along with his Coded Tunes squad.
ID Cabasa started doing music in the early 90s while he was still in secondary school. Though, professionally, he started in the early 2000s. After graduating from the University, ID Cabasa started Coded Tunes Production in his house in 2003; before he joined forces with 2Phat, Lord of Ajasa, MC Spaco, Reminisce, and a few others to start the label known as Coded Tunes Records.

Although ID Cabasa was ordained pastor in December 2013 at Global Impact Church, Surulele, he has not let spirituality and religion meddle in his secular music business. According to him, there is nothing wrong with a pastor producing worldly music. After all, the scripture said, “Go ye into the world…” and not go back into the church.
Nevertheless, his wife is a gospel singer who does back up vocals a lots for gospel artists.

ID Cabasa have been instrumental to the success of many Nigerian artists. He discovered Olamide at the age of 13, when he used to rap in English. Coded Tunes influenced and transformed Olamide from a classic to an indigenous rapper. ID Cabasa signed Olamide into Coded Tunes Records, and singlehandedly produced his debut studio album Rapsody. He also discovered 9ice and produced his first and second albums – “Certificate” and “Gonga Aso”.
ID Cabasa has also received production credits on the albums of Faze, Ruggedman, Iyanya, Durella, Banky W, Reminisce, Jahbless, Seriki, among others.

ID Cabasa has received several nominations and awards in the course of his illustrious music career. He won The Headies award for Producer of the Year in 2009, for his work on 9ice’s Gonga Aso album.
In 2016, 9ice honored ID Cabasa by naming a 20-track album after him. 9ice reportedly gave the proceeds from the ID Cabasa album to him, as appreciation for the role he played in his music career.
In 2019, Olamide teamed up with Wizkid and recorded a single titled “Totori” for the veteran producer.
